YOUNGER MEN WATCH OUT… THE COUGARS ARE OUT!

The trend that has sparked a hit television show and empowered older women to take control of their sexuality will culminate in the crowning of Miss (or should that be Ms?) NSW Cougar.

Glamorous 40-something Courteney Cox – star of the new show Cougar Town – is the international face of a craze that is sweeping the state.

‘Women have been chasing older, rich men for years thinking they will find love. But they should be going for younger men,” Cougar Convention organiser Rich Gosse said.

“Younger men like older women because they can learn from them.

“Cougars have life experience, are sexual, want fun and can train cubs.”

About 27 per cent of women between 40 and 54 in Australia are single. In 1986, only 19 per cent were single.

Social commentator Bernard Salt said cougars have occurred as women have become empowered.

Younger Men Beware: The search is on for Miss Cougar Australia 2010

Rich Gosse, author and relationship expert from the US is here in Australia promoting cougar events.  He is hoping to dispel the myths surrounding cougar women as preying on younger men and inform Australians as to the benefits of older women dating younger men.
