What’s in a name? To paraphrase Shakespeare, that which we call as an urban myth, by any other name would smell so sweet.  It is hard to believe that Cougar, a name associated with a ravenous predatory creature of the wild, could also become synonymous with the allure of maturity, yet everything about women who have a past, who have lived, and who definitely know who they are (an acronym for Confident Older women who are Unique individuals with a Go-getter Attitude that is not Repressed) is so counterintuitive, that it’s hard to imagine them being called anything else. After all, modern cougar women are anything but conventional.

They say that forty is the new 30 and 50 is the new 40 – in that case, it really is a cougars world ripe for the picking.  Modern cougar women are realizing that they can get so much more out of life.  By the time you’re reached 40, you feel so much more self-assured without the need to impress.  You feel the value in who you are.

Modern cougar women live by a code – the cougar code. Are you serious I hear you say… yes!

There’s more to being a cougar than what everyone thinks. It’s not about the sex.  It’s about “Honoring Thyself.”  Oh no, I hear you gasp, it’s not about the sex.  Modern cougar women love nothing more than honoring their primal sexual desires.  Remember, that cougars are proven to out perform even the youngest of women when they let their wild side come out to play. And that’s something that they don’t take lightly.  Modern cougars need to have balls of steal to stand up and go get what they want in life because being a cougar is a double-edge sword.

Modern cougar women have an indefinable human quality that vacillates between impulse and premeditation.  If it’s on a cougar’s mind and not on her face, it’s always in her actions.  And that’s compelling because it’s so honest.

“Most people are other people; their thoughts are someone else’s, their lives a mimicy, their passion a quotation.” Oscar Wilde.  This cannot be said of the modern cougar because of the cougar code – “Honor Thyself.”

Cougars… as you know… have that a certain thing.

After decades of being banished in the wilderness, cougar women everywhere are coming out of the bushes and staking claim to their heart-stopping sex appeal.  Truth is, cougars, although they’re a knock-out with their siren lips and killer heels, they are interestingly mysterious women who are perhaps the most sexually fearless of all older women as they are unafraid of being true to themselves, including their sexual desires.

There’s a lot squashed into the cougar package. They are down-to earth, honest and straight forward; intelligent, respectful and passionate. Oh; and of course… simply stunning.  And that’s just part of their appeal to the younger man.  Because cougar women want to be seen, it really is easy for younger men to fall in love with them.

And now to that all important “Cougar Factor”, make no mistake, cougars are not born smokin’ hot, they’re made.  When it comes to being a cougar woman, there are some practical skills that must be learned and executed with ease for being the most desirable of women on the planet.  Only the most confident of older women can pull off the leopard dress, and a cougar is it!

How Sweet it is to Be a Cougar…

The results are in for the Aussie Cougar Women Survey about Cougar Dating.  And what an eye opener it has been with both men and women sharing their thoughts.  The men who volunteered to participate even tho the survey clearly stated that it was for cougar women only are the men in society who are still holding onto the myths surrounding cougars and just couldn’t help but tell me so.  It has come as no surprise that these men feel threatened by a cougar woman’s sexuality to the point where offensive and degrading remarks were made in a bid to corrupt the survey.

Their behavior, however, has highlighted why so many of Australia’s cougars are keeping their cougar status private and beyond the prying eyes of men such as these.

It’s about time that aussie men who feel sexually powerless stop inflicting their unwanted prejudiced attitudes upon people who are just not interested in hearing their narrow minded limited rantings. Oh and Cougars, you never know, you just might be able to kick ass and teach some of these old dogs new tricks when they unexpectedly jump out from behind the nearest bush to ambush you… integrity, respect and most importantly how to live life to the max on your own terms.

Here’s the 2nd installment of Maree’s Cougar Diary….

Another surprise whilst I was up on the gold coast was that I met an 81 year old COUGAR.  That’s right you heard it.  I went out walking very early one morning towards surfers and had lost my way and asked for directions from this very elegant lady.  We started talking and she told me that she was on her was to the casino to meet her man.  I asked her how old he was.  She started to laugh uncontrollably and whispered in my ear “he’s only 51”.   My mouth dropped to my feet.  I gave her the biggest hug and said to her “You’re a COUGAR”… she giggled cheekily and said “yes I am”.  I told her that I am also a COUGAR. We had the best conversation and best giggles and laughs.  She also mentioned that back in her time, that it was a sin to be a COUGAR, but today she’s letting it all hang out.  WOW!!  I asked her why she didn’t date men her age.  She said that they were all very boring and ‘not great in bed’.   Just love her attitude and her love of her life and her freedom to do and be who she wants without judgements.  As we were crossing the road, she grabbed my arm and leaned in and said to me… “don’t ever let other’s judge you…because it is their own stupidity that stops them from embracing their own life the way it’s meant to be…they’re just jealous”.

That same morning I also met up with another friend of mine who lives on the gold coast and works as a stripper.  I popped into his place for a coffee.  We chatted for a while.  And he again said to me, that the younger boys all say the same thing.  That COUGARS are so much easier to talk to.  We have no hang ups.  We are in control of our wants and needs.  And the biggest one of all is that, we are not shy in the bedroom and allow ourselves to evolve and escape in the moment of passion.  We are not afraid to take control nor do we take control off them.  We are fun spontaneous cheeky and go with the flow.   Oh and let’s not forget, we are not clingy nor jealous.  Having said all that, as a COUGAR I find the same with the younger boys, hence why we seem to attract each other.  And yes had the craziest sex with my muscly gorgeous 25 year old stripper guy who new exactly which buttons to push and how to push them.  The passion was taken everywhere from the dining table, coffee table, kitchen bench tops, the staircase, the lounge room floor through to the bed and finally in the shower.  What I love the most about young muscly guys is that they can lift me up with no effort or struggle and pull me in without me holding on.   His stamina, energy and craziness of just devouring me in every which way, just keeps bringing back those tingles.

How do you Woo Cougars?  The answer may depend on how you make your demands.

A staggering number of younger men are using social media networks like face book, twitter and online cougar dating sites in a bid to hook up with cougar women and for 90% of these younger men it just isn’t working and they go from one place to another in search of what alludes them – the cougar woman.

This is a classic case of not knowing how to approach cougar women.  What I mean is that it’s all in the way you make your demands.  Sure it’s easy to put yourself out there and make new friends, but when it comes to actually interacting in a way that’s appealing to cougar women, or any woman for that matter, it’s a completely different ball game.

There are two kinds of ways people communicate.  Your either an Asker – like that annoying acquaintance, who has no problem in requesting things – first dates, promotions, pay rises, a discount on that highly overpriced pair of shoes… even if they know that their answer will be a big fat “NO”.  A Guesser on the other hand, takes a more circuitous route – not often making their request unless their absolutely sure that they’re going to get a yes.  And here’s the clincher, by thinking that they’re stealth enough, they can wend their way through the situation in a way that actually works in their favor and offers will be made before they even have to,  you know… ask.   To put it simply, you either ask or you coerce by way of suggestion.

The trouble is that Askers and Guessers are both running into problems when it comes to approaching cougar women.  When an Asker can prompt discussion when it hits at the heart of a cougars day to day interactions, on a deeply understandable level, she responds to him. But when his demands are more like a loaded gun, a cougar woman is sure to reject him.

Guessers can run the gammut from coy remarks to that of a more passive aggressive way to say everything about what you want without saying anything at all.  Either way it’s a recipe for frustration.  And it ruins things with cougar women, as they are being forced by younger men with poor social skills to interact and navigate their way through a minefield of awkward discussions.

The reality of course is that Askers and Guessers need to move fluidly through attracting a cougar women with their opening line into comfortably conversing with cougar women.  After all, the dynamics of everyday interactions demands it.  Askers have to amend their usual knock-em-out cold approach with some behavioral nuance, and Guessers must work at being crystal-clear.  The stakes are high, and the trick is in learning how to read cougar women, as well as the situations that they present to you.

COUGARS LOVE SEX!!!
